The Certified Payroll Technician Stage 1 course contains 17 different chapters which are broken down into a number of online lecturers, each of which is accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation. Some of the chapters consist of a single presentation, whereas other larger chapters are broken down into a number of smaller presentations.

Each online presentation should be viewed in the order in which it is presented although once viewed, each chapter can then be reviewed as and when the student requires. In a classroom setting the entire course will be covered in 9 nights, leaving 1 night for revision. However, the online learning student can move at whatever pace suits him or her best, although the entire course will not be available from the outset. It is intended to provide access to the course material on the basis that online access will run approximately 2 weeks ahead of the class room students.

Sample exam papers will be provided to both classroom students and online learning students no later than five weeks after the commencement of the classroom courses.
